Cawsand and its twin village of Kingsand are situated on the Rame Peninsular in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is often referred to as the 'Forgotten Corner of Cornwall'.

There are a number of lovely beaches in the 2 villages, and a short drive away is a beautiful five mile stretch of unspoilt golden sand at Whitsand Bay. The historic Mount Edgcumbe Country Park with its house and gardens is within walking distance or a short drive.

The area is a both a bird watchers and walkers paradise, and the Cornwall Coastal path passes directly through the villages.

Sea fishing can be enjoyed directly from the beaches or why not book a local fishing trip.

The seasonal Cawsand ferry departs directly from Cawsand beach to the Mayflower steps in the historic Plymouth Barbican area, where as well as an array of shops and restaurants the National Marine aquarium can be found. The Barbican is also within easy walking distance of Plymouth's main shopping centre.
